The MOCHILA Project participated in a new edition of the “Educational Dialogues” series, an initiative promoted by the National Autonomous University of Mexico through CUAED, which featured the discussion session entitled “Regional Microcredentials Observatory for Flexible Learning Pathways.”

The session brought together international specialists linked to the microcredentials and higher education ecosystem, with the participation of Dr. Claudia Camacho-Zúñiga from Tecnológico de Monterrey; Dr. Miguel Morales Chan from Universidad Galileo; and Dr. Carlos Alario-Hoyos from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

During the dialogue, participants addressed topics related to flexible learning pathways, microcredential interoperability, competency recognition, and current challenges in strengthening regional digital credential ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The session also highlighted the work developed through the MOCHILA Project’s Regional Microcredentials Observatory, an initiative aimed at collecting, systematizing, and showcasing institutional experiences related to microcredentials in the region, while promoting the exchange of best practices and the analysis of emerging trends in higher education.

The activity also encouraged reflection on the importance of advancing toward more flexible educational models focused on lifelong learning, as well as strengthening collaboration among universities, organizations, and productive sectors to respond to new training and employability demands.
