As part of the dissemination and academic dialogue activities of the Erasmus+ MOCHILA Project, Prof. Carlos Delgado Kloos, Director of the UNESCO Chair “Scalable Digital Education for All” at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, participated as a panelist in the discussion forum “Microcredentials in Ecuador: Towards a General Framework”, held on May 14, 2026.

The activity was organized by the Permanent Graduate Studies Commission of the Higher Education Council (CES) of Ecuador and brought together international experts to reflect on challenges, opportunities, and best practices related to microcredentials in higher education.

The event took place at the institutional auditorium of the Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales (IAEN) and also featured the participation of Denise Rodríguez-Zurita, professor at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), and Dr. Jorge Maldonado, specialist in Educational Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

The participation of MOCHILA Project partners in these types of spaces strengthens the regional exchange of experiences and contributes to the dialogue on the development of institutional and regulatory frameworks for microcredentials in Latin America and the Caribbean.
