Within the framework of the Erasmus+ MOCHILA Project, consortium partners continue promoting capacity-building activities in higher education institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean.
On May 11, 2026, Dr. Carlos Alario-Hoyos, Deputy Director of the UNESCO Chair “Scalable Digital Education for All” at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, delivered a training session on digital microcredentials for the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The activity was conducted virtually and included the participation of 27 institutional representatives, including Vice-Rectors and Deans from the university.
During the session, key concepts, reference frameworks, and international best practices related to digital microcredentials in higher education were discussed, promoting the exchange of knowledge on more flexible educational models oriented toward lifelong learning.
These activities are part of the MOCHILA Project’s efforts to strengthen institutional capacities for the design and implementation of microcredentials in the region.
