During the recent LatinSOTL Congress — Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Latin America, representatives from the partner institutions of the MOCHILA Project took part in the event to exchange experiences, present progress, and strengthen academic networks focused on educational innovation.
The participating universities included:
- Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain)
- University of Chile (Chile)
- Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (Dominican Republic)
During the event, delegates from each institution shared initiatives related to MOCHILA, particularly in the design, issuance, and recognition of digital micro-credentials. They also participated in thematic sessions on university teaching, pedagogical innovation, and technological implementation strategies in higher education.
The presence of these institutions at LatinSOTL reinforces their commitment to educational excellence and the collaborative generation of knowledge within the Ibero-American region. It also positions MOCHILA as an active contributor to emerging discussions on teaching transformation, microlearning, and innovative credentialing.
MOCHILA is a project funded by the European Commission that aims to develop a reference framework for issuing micro-credentials in higher education institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean. This participation in LatinSOTL enhances its visibility, network of partnerships, and positioning as a leading initiative in the region.
