The MOCHILA project had a prominent participation in the Erasmus+ Week 2025 Regional Meeting for Latin America and the Caribbean, held from October 7 to 9 in Bogotá, Colombia. The event was organized by the European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), bringing together representatives from higher education institutions in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean with the aim of strengthening academic cooperation and promoting new international partnerships.

Representing Universidad Galileo, Dr. Héctor Amado presented the progress of the MOCHILA project during the session titled “Developing New Skills and Technologies for the Green Transition.” His presentation highlighted the potential of digital credentials and micro-credentials as key tools to advance sustainability education and strengthen green competencies within vocational and professional training systems.
MOCHILA’s participation in this event reaffirms its commitment to the digital transformation of education and technical training in Guatemala, as well as its contribution to the regional agenda on employability and the green transition. The exchange of experiences with other Erasmus+ projects in the region strengthens collaborative efforts toward an interoperable digital credential ecosystem aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
