In the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the second plenary meeting of the MOCHILA project was held at the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC). This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to review the project’s progress and strengthen collaborative work towards achieving its strategic objectives.
The MOCHILA project aims to “build capacities for the design and issuance of digital micro-credentials in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).”
MOCHILA emerges in response to the need for more flexible and adaptable educational solutions that reflect the realities of the rapidly changing labor market in the region. In a context where the rigidity of traditional educational programs makes it difficult to update professional skills, micro-credentials offer an innovative opportunity to enhance lifelong learning and employability.
