Within the framework of the Erasmus+ MOCHILA Project, a series of training workshops were held for the academic community during the week of March 16–20, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Chile.
These training activities aimed to strengthen institutional capacities related to the design, implementation, and quality assurance of micro-credentials in higher education, promoting the exchange of experiences and knowledge among international experts and regional participants.
The following workshops were delivered:
– The European approach to micro-credentials: key initiatives and lessons learned
– Micro-credentials for professional development in lifelong learning
– Criteria and guidelines for micro-credentials: quality assurance
– Institutional transformation for educational innovation: the case of micro-credentials
– From idea to action: institutional pathways for the implementation of micro-credentials
These sessions provided a comprehensive perspective on micro-credentials, addressing pedagogical, technological, and organizational aspects, as well as their connection to lifelong learning and the needs of the professional environment.
The implementation of these workshops reaffirms the commitment of the MOCHILA Project to strengthening capacities in higher education institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean, promoting the adoption of innovative certification and training models.
