On May 8, 2025, Prof. Carlos Delgado Kloos, Director of the UNESCO Chair “Scalable Digital Education for All” at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), together with Dr. Carlos Alario Hoyos, Deputy Director, participated in the “Evaluation Methodology” workshop of the MICROCASA Project, held at Universität des Saarlandes, Germany.
During the workshop, the representatives of the Chair presented the methodological approaches developed in MICROCASA to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of micro-credentials, as well as the integration of digital indicators and innovative technological tools. The meeting gathered experts from various European universities, creating a rich space for dialogue on quality measures, institutional recognition criteria, and comparative evaluation approaches.
This participation strengthens the collaboration between the UC3M UNESCO Chair and projects related to educational innovation in Europe. It also provides valuable insights for the MOCHILA Project, by sharing advances in micro-credential evaluation and supporting the development of regional and global standards in higher education.
MOCHILA is a project funded by the European Commission aimed at developing a reference framework for the design and issuance of micro-credentials in higher education institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean. Its purpose is to promote flexible certification systems that respond to lifelong learning needs.
