September 10, 2025 — A new working meeting of the Erasmus+ MOCHILA Project was held with the active participation of all consortium partners. The session focused on advancing the process of installing institutional units on micro-credentials in each participating university, as part of the strategic actions outlined in the project.
During the meeting, key aspects related to the technical and academic implementation of these units were discussed, as well as their alignment with the institutional frameworks of each country. In addition, the work plan for the first training sessions was presented, which will aim to strengthen the capacities of academic, technical, and administrative staff involved in the design, issuance, and validation of micro-credentials.
This meeting represents an important step toward fulfilling the objectives of the MOCHILA Project, which seeks to promote flexible certification systems and lifelong learning opportunities within higher education institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean.
MOCHILA is an initiative funded by the European Commission that aims to develop a regional reference framework for micro-credentials, contributing to more relevant, accessible education aligned with the challenges of the 21st century.
